I have a perplexing chicken keeping issue that I was hoping that someone could shed some light on.
I live in Sydney and a year ago my best mate bought a farm in Mudgee. The purchase came with a flock of about 12 chooks (I believe Sussex crosses) of which 4 are roosters one dominant mature male and 3 juveniles. 5-6 Guinee fowl, 2 geese.
Six months ago we added 20 Isa Brown hens to the flock and within a week egg production stopped from 4 eggs a day. We though the original flock might be stresses but the Isa Browns which are close to 1 year old have not started to lay either.
Flock is free range 3 days a week and live in an 85m2 coop 4 days a week. They are fed veggie scraps, seed and laying pellets.
They have been wormed, crushed shells are in the diet. No chance predators are getting the eggs. The hens show no signs of copulating or laying as back sides are fully feathered and show no irritation. Does anyone have any ideas of what is stopping egg production? Please help Im at a loss

Beautiful Embden Snow Geese Tasmania Only

These snow white geese with ruffled neck feathers and blue eyes are quite tame as they see us each day however they are also good guards if a stranger is on your property. They need to be homed on a property with a dam. We have no leeches and minimal snails/bugs as geese do a great job. I'm only selling geese 2years so not suitable for eating.

Geese will need to be penned up for two weeks to reset their compass.

Overseas and more frequently in Australia geese are used for pest control in vineyards.

Not suitable for apartments, backyards and will not ship interstate. A few years ago a guy wanted to buy a goose and duck for his apartment in Mowbray!
